World Cup Launch Day - Spanish activities

On Thursday, we held our World Cup launch day, celebrating La Copa Del Mundo. Prayer chain

As a school community, we have enjoyed beginning the sacred month of May dedicated to Our Lady.  St. Gregory’s launched the event in creating a prayer chain filled with 210 prayers of intercession, sharing how we can grow close to Mary. Row to Raphael

We were thrilled to take part in a Magnificat fundraising challenge this week, Row to St. Raphael, as part of the children's PE lessons. Across our MAC, we joined with 5,000 children, and collectively worked together to row the equivalent distance to St Raphael in France by rowing 0.2 miles each. We loved being set the challenge and the children got very competitive indeed!

Benches

This half term, we received an exciting delivery of 8 new school benches which have been placed on our Key Stage One and Key Stage Two playgrounds, as well as in our school prayer garden. Our previous benches were removed due to rotting and ageing. Without the donations raised through the PTA, we would have struggled to fund this project. Year 1 Warwickshire Fire Service Visit

On Wednesday, Yar One were joined by Warwickshire Fire Service who delivered a workshop to the children sharing how to stay safe and how to keep their homes safe. The children loved learning about ‘Stop, Drop and Roll’ and were praised for their insightful questions.

Science Week

On Tuesday, we transformed our school hall into our St. Greg’s Science Showcase. Every class enjoyed visiting the museum as part of their Science lesson that afternoon to learn the many ways things change and adapt, from houses in our local area to the season in God’s creation.
