As a school community, we have enjoyed beginning the sacred month of May dedicated to Our Lady.  St. Gregory’s launched the event in creating a prayer chain filled with 210 prayers of intercession, sharing how we can grow close to Mary. We were thrilled to take part in a Magnificat fundraising challenge this week, Row to St. Raphael, as part of the children's PE lessons. Across our MAC, we joined with 5,000 children, and collectively worked together to row the equivalent distance to St Raphael in France by rowing 0.2 miles each. We loved being set the challenge and the children got very competitive indeed! 

Key Stage 2 enjoyed a visit from author Christopher Edge. Year 5 in particular enjoyed this visit as they are reading one of his books in class.  

The children are so happy to have the new playground markings to play on each break time and lunch time.   Thank you to our PTA for funding this.  

This half term, we received an exciting delivery of 8 new school benches which have been placed on our Key Stage One and Key Stage Two playgrounds, as well as in our school prayer garden. Our previous benches were removed due to rotting and ageing. Without the donations raised through the PTA, we would have struggled to fund this project.
