Year Two have a visit from Avonvale Vets

This week, our Year Two class had a special visit from a local vet. Enhancing learning in their Science unit, the children had the opportunity to ask the vet questions, learning about her Vocation. They enjoyed practising how to use a stethoscope and how to bandage an animal’s limb. Thank you to Miss Taberner for planning this opportunity for the children!

Reception Class begin their swimming journey!

This week, it was Reception’s first swimming lesson at St. Gregory’s. The children were very excited to begin a seven year journey of building their skills as swimmers. Well done to all our Reception swimmers, who showed bravery and enjoyment in their first session!

New School Lunch Supplier

Children from St Gregory's joined in the annual Shakespeare's Birthday Parade along with other local schools and organisations. The weather was beautiful and all the children made the school very proud.

We enjoyed celebrating this afternoon at our very own St. Greg’s Tea Party. Two children were nominated from each class to celebrate their exceptional attitude to learning and compassion shown to others in the Spring Term. Well done! We are very proud of you!

Lenten Bag Drop

The 'Bag2School Lenten fundraiser was a huge success; there were an unbelievable amount of donated belongings. Thanks to your support, the PTA have raised £200 for our school, and all of the clothes will be donated to those less fortunate than us. Return to overview

Well done to our exceptional Year Four’s who represented Stratford upon Avon in this year’s Shakespeare Week celebrations. Girls' Football

Well done to our amazing footballers who represented St. Gregory’s at Stratford Town Football Club this evening. They played against other schools in Warwickshire in a initiative called Just Play, celebrating women in football. We are proud of their passion and determination.

Supporting the Vulnerable

This morning, Year Six visited B and M. They used the donations from after our Christmas Performances to buy presents for the children who will be in Worcester Hospital this Christmas. They have had lots of fun wrapping these gifts this afternoon.

Talented Musicians

We are very proud of these talented Musicians,who have been gathering after-school every week to play their instruments as an orchestra. They have shown a tremendous amount of perseverance and dedication which culminated in festive end of term Christmas performance this week.

This morning in D and T, Year Four are evaluating existing biscuit products - they’re certainly enjoying the taste-testing process! 🍪 In this unit, the children will build up to designing and baking their own biscuits. Yum! 👨🏽‍🍳

This afternoon, children from Reception to Year Six, who were nominated by their teachers for exceptional participation in the Autumn Term, enjoyed an exciting tea party with Miss Cole. They especially loved playing musical statues! 🕺🍰🍬

This morning, we gathered for whole school prayer where Miss Cole introduced the Year of the Jubilee, where Pope Francis is calling us all to be ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. 🕊️ Throughout the year of 2025, our whole school community will be participating in a range of activities to draw closer to God, reset in prayer and become more hopeful people. This afternoon, our Mini Vinnies prepared a special gift for each class including a ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ challenge poster and a ‘Happy News’ newspaper, providing stories capturing unsung hero’s and news of hope. 🗞️ We are looking forward to the children using these in their classroom to support them in their Jubilee Year.
